Tips for Making Baked Banana Oatmeal:
I highly suggest making this recipe in a 9×9 baking pan.
This recipe will work in a 9×13 baking pan; however, you will get the perfect thickness and even baking with a 9×9 pan. They just come out in perfect squares.
I will use the 9×9 baking pan and then cut 9 squares to serve.
This recipe uses Old Fashioned Oats, if you use Quick Oats it will not turn out the same way. Quick Oats are smaller-cut oats, so you would need more quick oats to offset the ingredients used.
To avoid confusion, stick to using Old Fashioned Oats as written in the recipe.
I also prefer to use ripe bananas; however, any can be used. I typically use 2 medium-size bananas.
What should you serve Baked Banana Oatmeal with?
It’s best to garnish the oatmeal with Powdered Sugar, Cinnamon, or Chopped Walnuts.
I like to serve mine with some warm milk as well just to make it creamy, while my kids like it as is without milk. They like it to be more like a soft cookie.
Now it’s time to enjoy this delicious Baked Oatmeal and pair it with your favorite Iced Coffee!
