Tips for Making Juicy Turkey Breast:
- Do NOT skip the broth – The chicken broth is added to keep the turkey breast moist as it cooks with juices, if this were being cooked in a shorter time frame the broth would not be as important, BUT if you are planning to be cooking this for 8 or more hours, then the broth is imperative to keeping the turkey breast moist.
- Use a meat thermometer – Before removing the turkey breast, check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer, it should be at least 165 degrees F in the thickest part of the breast to be considered done.
- Serve with Gravy – If preferred, whisk in cornstarch into the drippings to make gravy, or make a separate gravy to serve with the turkey breast.
