- Beef Chuck Roast
- Olive Oil
- Water
- Pepperoncini Peppers and Juice
- Ranch Seasoning Packet
- Gluten-Free Brown Gravy or Regular Brown Gravy Packet
- Unsalted Butter
This recipe can easily be made gluten-free using a gluten-free brown gravy packet. We find these regularly at Walmart.
What type of pressure cooker should you use?
This recipe can be made in any pressure cooker with both the pressure cooker and saute function. The most common would be the Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker and the Instant Pot. The Pioneer Woman Pressure Cooker can also be used.
Tips for Making Pressure Cooker Mississippi Pot Roast:
Follow the recipe card carefully as there will be a time after cooking of natural release, which means you do nothing and let the steam naturally release before venting the roast.
If you LOVE heat, then add in some red pepper flakes or more peppers.
To make the broth more of a gravy, easily whisk in 1 tablespoon of cornstarch into the liquid to thicken up the liquid and make a nice gravy that can be used for mashed potatoes and roast.

Once the roast has fully cooled, store the leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. When ready to serve, heat on a microwave-safe plate for 1-2 minutes, stirring in between until warm. If needed, add broth to moisten.

In the pot of the pressure cooker, add 1 Tbsp Olive Oil and use a silicone brush and brush the pot evenly with the olive oil.

Set the function to saute on high and sear the roast for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Add the water and the juice around the roast.

Top it with about 4-5 peppers.

Evenly sprinkle the ranch packet and gravy on top of the roast.

Add the pressure cooker lid and secure it to the pot.
