If you struggle with getting your hard-boiled eggs to set up just right, you will never have that problem again using the 5-5-5 method in the Ninja Foodi. This recipe is a must on your list of Ninja Foodi Recipes. This recipe will yield a perfectly cooked egg with firm whites, creamy yolks, and an easy-to-peel shell. This method for hard-boiled eggs will change your method of cooking eggs.

This simple method is fool-proof and so easy to do, not only does it take just 5 minutes to cook the eggs but the shell just peels right off. It’s that easy! This recipe can be done in any pressure cooker, Instant Pot, or Ninja Foodi.

How do you boil eggs in the Ninja Foodi?

In the Ninja Foodi, the eggs will be cooked using the 5-5-5 method or the pressure cooker. In the Ninja Foodi, you will need the pressure cooker lid or pressure cooking lid that comes with your Ninja Foodi. This will not be included with those that have the Deluxe with one lid.

I also like to use the wire rack for these. Once you have the pot inserted along with the wire rack into the Ninja Foodi, at this point, you will want to add 1 cup of water.

What is the 5-5-5 Method for Hard-Boiled Eggs?

This Egg Steamer Rack is a great choice; however, you can just lay them or place them carefully on the wire rack that came with the Ninja Foodi as well.

After that is added, secure the lid and move the nozzle to ‘seal. ‘ Then, you will cook them on high pressure for 5 minutes; this starts the 5-5-5 method.

Once you have the eggs cooked, they need to naturally release (do nothing) for 5 minutes of natural release in the pressure cooker. After the time is up, move the valve to VENT and quick release the remaining steam and prepare for the ice water bath.

Once the eggs are done with these 2 steps, it’s time for the last part of the 5-5-5 method. Use a slotted spoon to carefully remove the eggs and place eggs into the bowl of ice water. The eggs will then need to be added to a large bowl for an ice water bath or iced water for 5 minutes.

The full instructions will be listed in the recipe card below. Be sure to follow each step carefully to get perfect hard boiled eggs. The total time needed to cook these may vary a bit depending on how long your machine takes to build pressure.

How long do Leftover Hard-Boiled Eggs last?

Store the leftover Hard-Boiled Eggs in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator. They also need to be put in the fridge immediately after cooking if you aren’t planning to eat them immediately.

We prefer to make about a dozen hard-boiled eggs each week and that’s part of our Sunday routine, making the hard-boiled eggs in the Ninja Foodi and if you need a boost of protein to go with your snack for the week or breakfast, it’s ready!

How should you peel the hard-boiled egg?

The best way I’ve found to quickly peel the egg is to crack it lightly all the way around and start to peel the shell. The 5 minutes in the ice bath greatly helps you easily peel the egg.

If you would prefer, you can even peel the egg under the water, this helps release it too.

The Ninja Foodi Hard Boiled Eggs method will allow you to perfectly cook eggs every time without having to peel the stubborn shell, these just peel right off! These eggs are perfect for Deviled Eggs, Potato Salad, or Egg Salad Sandwiches too.

Now, this is the best method to make Deviled Eggs too. Find the complete recipe for Ninja Foodi Deviled Eggs here!
