Did anyone else notice how late Easter is this year? It’s actually 3 weeks later than it was last year. I’m actually looking forward to it being later because that means my yard will be ready to go for spring too.

We host a big dinner with family and friends, then we do a fun Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. I’ll admit it’s getting bittersweet because we started hosting this when our daughter was only 1 and now she’s going to be 7 this year. How does time go by so FAST?!

We have several kids in our family heading into high school, some even nearing graduation in the next year or two. It just seems like time needs to slow down, but it keeps speeding up.

I am savoring the moments because as they get older I know the traditions are going to start to change and shift each year.

I love the stage we are in with our kids but goodness it’s bittersweet too.

Now, let’s talk about all that Easter food and Easter dinner.

What is the traditional food on Easter?

There is a wide variety and typically it lands similar to Thanksgiving with turkey, chicken, ham or lamb. We tend to lean more towards ham.
