Tips for Making Pellet Grill Smoked Crab Legs:
- Defrost Crab Legs – If you are using frozen crab legs, run them under cold water to remove any excess ice.
- Use Seasonings if Preferred – If you prefer to add additional seasonings, use seasonings such as garlic powder or paprika, or for a spicy flavor, add red pepper flakes. These seasonings can be added to the melted butter. A fresh lemon juice squeeze garnishes these well too.
- Use a Disposable Aluminum Pan – Using an aluminum pan will allow for the butter to have a place to go when it runs off and it makes it easy to reuse the butter for dipping the crab meat too. Try to place the crab legs in the pans as evenly as possible without layering.
- Lots of Butter – Crab Legs are best coated or dipped in butter, add lemon too if you want some additional zesty flavor.
How do you store leftover Crab Legs?
These are best served fresh; however, they can be stored once fully cooled. Once they are fully cooled, add them to an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
When ready to serve, reheat in the oven at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes or in a pot of boiling water for 3-5 minutes.
Smoking Crab Legs is one of the easiest foods to smoke on the Pellet Grill, plus they are ready in less than an hour. The weekly seafood night is going to go to new levels with this delicious crab legs recipe.
