Do you have to use food coloring for no-churn ice cream?
Food Coloring is completely optional. We chose to use Wilton Gel Food Coloring in pink; however, you can either choose to use no food coloring or select any color you prefer.
Tips for Making No Churn Cotton Candy Ice Cream:
Begin by using a large mixing bowl and combining the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla pudding mix. A stand mixer with a whisk attachment can also be used.
Once this is well combined, the cotton candy will be added in until well incorporated.
We use a pre-made cotton candy that is typically available at Walmart. Any cotton candy that you prefer can be used.
Once this is done, mix in the food coloring.
When it’s fully mixed, the mixture can then be poured into an airtight, freezer-safe storage container. The best one we’ve found is this Tovola Ice Cream Tub, it can be found on Amazon.
Once the mixture is in the container, the container needs to be stored in the freezer for at least 24 hours before serving.
When ready to serve, scoop it with an ice cream scoop into a container or waffle cone.
How long can you store No Churn Cotton Candy Ice Cream?
This ice cream can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks as long as it’s in an airtight, sealed container.
