Get ready for a great side dish with these Ninja Foodi Collard Greens using the Pressure Cooker function!

A classic side dish can easily be made in the Ninja Foodi with these delicious Collard Greens. These are like a love it or hate it a vegetable, but they are worth trying in the Ninja Foodi.

Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Collard Greens:

For this recipe, they are cooked along with bacon, but it’s important to drain the bacon grease before moving on to the pressure cooking.

The pot will still have some of the bacon flavors but you do not want to pressure cook these in a cup of bacon grease.

Bacon grease has a low smoke point, so it’s just not the best idea!

The onion can be added in with the bacon to saute it if you prefer; however, it’s a little difficult to remove from the pot because of the bacon grease. This is up to you though, it can be done with a slotted spoon.

I’ve found it’s easier to add it in when pressure cooking instead.

This recipe can be adapted to use ham as well instead of bacon.

The red pepper flakes are going to give the greens a spicy kick to them, so remember this if you do not like spicy food. If you do like spicy food, feel free to add more than what is listed in the recipe too.

Why do you use vinegar when cooking Collard Greens?

Adding a little bit of vinegar and salt to the collard greens will eliminate the bitter taste of greens.

In this recipe, I use Apple Cider Vinegar, I’ve found that has a great flavor, but you can use regular white vinegar as well.

Collard Greens are best served warm right out of the pot of the Ninja Foodi, serve them with a slotted spoon so the liquid runs off.

Serve these with Ninja Foodi Whole Chicken, Crockpot Chicken, or Air Fryer Ham.

Enjoy these tasty Ninja Foodi Collard Greens!
