Now it’s fun to make it with the kids and let them pick different candies to add to it. In this recipe, you can swap out the peanut butter cups with basically any candy you want to try such as Snickers or Butterfingers. It’s very versatile and will work the same way with whichever candy you choose.

  • Ice Cream Maker
  • Rock Salt

It’s very important that you use half and half, regular milk will not work for this recipe the cream is what helps make the ice cream.

    Bring sugar and water to a rolling boil; continue cooking for about 1 minute.

    Let mixture cool.

    Chop candy food processor or crumble it by hand to your desired consistency.

    Pour candy into sugar mixture and let soak until you are ready to make ice cream.

    Mix candy mixture with 2 quarts of half and half and pour into 4 quart ice cream maker.

    Lastly, add additional half and half or 2 % milk as needed to reach the “fill” line on your ice cream maker.

    Continue making ice cream as instructed on the ice cream maker instructions.
