If you love a good grilled steak like these Grilled Balsamic Steaks, then you will enjoy this Grilled Steak Marsala just as much! Steak Marsala will use your favorite cut of steak paired with a marsala marinade.
I’ve grown to love using our Pellet Grill, I’m sure this is the cheater grill, but I’ll say I LOVE IT! I use the grill multiple times a week, making cooking a breeze. These steaks are simple to prep in the morning and let marinate all day until you are ready to grill in the evening.
We prefer to pair our grilled steak marsala with Grilled Asparagus or Baked Potatoes.
What type of cooking wine do you need for Steak Marsala?
This recipe will be made using Marsala Cooking Wine, this ingredient is readily found at local grocery stores and Walmart.
If you do not use Marsala Cooking Wine, it will alter the flavor and taste of the marinade as it has a distinct flavor profile. It has a mix of dried fruit and caramel flavoring.
This steak will be marinated for about 2 to 4 hours to fully soak in the flavor.
What cut of steak should you use?
This recipe will work with any cut of steak; however, we prefer to use Ribeye or Tenderloin. It is perfectly fine to use your favorite cut of steak.
The recipe ingredients are measured out for about 1 1/2 pounds of steak, so if you go over this, then you may need to double the recipe.
What temperature should the steak be cooked to?
It’s best to cook this with an internal meat thermometer so that you get the most tender steak and the steak will be cooked to you’re preference.
- Rare – 125°F
- MediumWell – 145°F
- Well Done – 165°F
We almost always cook our steak to reach 145 degrees F. This gives a nice little line of pink but not too much, when you move closer to well done then the steak will be more tough than it would be at medium well.
What about the mushrooms?
Grilled Steak Marsala is going to be topped with sauteed mushrooms, these are sauteed in butter on the stovetop.
The mushrooms add a wonderful element to this meal. They can also be made as Smoked Mushrooms if you prefer too!
Are you ready for a delicious steak dinner? It’s time to use the Pellet Grill for this Grilled Steak Marsala!
