Homemade French Onion Soup

I made this soup a few week’s back and I knew I had to share the recipe with all of you.
Tips for Making Homemade French Onion Soup
At first I was a bit skeptical because the original recipe called for 4 onions, I only used 2 but I could not imagine using 4 and keeping the broth at what is in the recipe.
This recipe was adapted from the Better Homes and Gardens 1965 Cookbook.
After making it, I was both impressed with the taste, the simplicity, and the aroma. It was delicious, we served it with the Sister Schubert’s Mini Baguettes, which were perfect for dipping.
I also made bacon and crumbled a little bit on top with shredded cheese and fresh parsley. If you are Gluten Free serve these with Better Batter French Bread!
I even used one of the pots my grandma used when we were growing up, something about it made me feel like I was standing back in her kitchen as a kid.
