Ingredients Needed for Easy Cheese Dip:
- Olive Oil
- Red Onions
- Bacon Bits
- Ground Beef
- Salt
- Garlic Powder
- Minced Garlic
- Ground Pepper
- Ketchup
- Dijon Mustard
- Colby Jack Cheese
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Sour Cream
- Cream Cheese
Step-by-Step Recipe Instructions:
- Set the pressure cooker to SAUTE. Allow this to warm up for 2 minutes on high.
- Add in the oil, onion, and bacon bits. Stir and saute until the onion becomes soft.
- Once soft, add in the ground beef and sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, minced garlic, and ground pepper.
- Using a heat-proof spoon or spatula, break apart the meat and mix it into the spices.
- Add in the ketchup and Dijon mustard. Mix and cook it completely until no longer pink.
- Once the meat is completely cooked, reduce to heat to low. Cook for 3-4 minutes while mixing. It is important to reduce the heat in order to properly add the cheese without it curdling. If your pressure cooker does not allow you to reduce heat, turn off the saute function, and it will stay warm.
- Once the heat has been reduced, add in the Colby Jack, mild cheddar, and sour cream. Mix until completely melted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cream cheese and continue to mix until melted and all ingredients are incorporated.
- Serve and enjoy! (We like to serve with additional cheese or bacon bits and chopped green onions.)
Tips for Making Pressure Cooker Cheese Dip:
- Make it spicy – Add in hot sauce, jalapenos, or red pepper flakes to give this dip a spicy kick.
- Keep it warm – Use the “keep warm” setting of your pressure cooker to serve the dip warm during your party.
- Customize it – Use ground turkey or ground sausage instead of ground beef if you prefer, or add in bacon for even more great flavor.
