- Seasonings – A combination of Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Dried Parsley, and Salt will be used to get that wonderful iconic taste out of the Gluten-Free Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
- Butter – Of course, the most important part is the BUTTER. Lots of butter is used in the baking mix along with brushing the biscuits with melted butter, giving it a wonderful glossy and golden top.
What flour should you use?
The base of these biscuits is the Homemade Gluten-Free Baking Mix. This mix uses Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour.

The flour must be a 1:1 even ratio with regular flour, meaning it can be swapped cup for cup. The best brands to use are King Arthur, Better Batter, Cup 4 Cup, and Bob’s Red Mill. Each of these brands has a gluten-free all-purpose flour that works well with the baking mix.
Tips for Making Gluten-Free Cheddar Bay Biscuits:
The key ingredient is the baking mix. The mix will be combined with cheddar cheese and water to form a dough. It’s best to use your hands or a Danish Dough Whisk to form the dough.
The dough will need to be worked for 1-2 minutes for it to combine. Typically the dough is worked into a ball, then you can drop tablespoonful size pieces of dough onto a prepared cookie sheet to bake in the oven.
The biscuits will cook at 375 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes. Once they are done, melted butter combined with seasonings like garlic powder will be drizzled over each biscuit.

The biscuits are best served fresh.
Remember that all gluten-free biscuits, will be denser than the non-gluten-free version, keep this in mind.
How to store leftovers?
These biscuits are best served freshly out of the oven, but if needed they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
If preferred, heat for 30 seconds in the microwave before serving.
