General Tso’s Wontons

General Tso’s Wontons are a great snack option.

Now that we are moving past Christmas and New Year’s parties, it’s time to think game day parties. The big game is upon us and that means lots of party foods will be served. I decided to use some tasty, General Tso’s Wings and turn them into General Tso’s Wontons. Let’s face it, wontons make the perfect finger food!

One thing my husband loves for game day parties are the wings, lots and lots of wings.

The General Tso’s Wontons take just about 15 minutes to prepare and make, then you can pair them with your favorite dipping sauce. This is because you can pick up the General Tso Chicken at your local store already made.

We tried a few sauces with these and so far our favorites are Sweet and Sour Sauce and Buffalo Ranch Sauce. They give two very distinct flavors but it is also a great way to cater to different taste.

I decided to slice up the chicken, then mix it with about a cup of coleslaw with cabbage. Once I mixed it, I simply used wonton wrappers to put a little bit of the mixture in each one, then folded them up and added an egg white wash to the top. I baked them for about 7-8 minutes and out came crispy General Tso’s Chicken Wontons.

Along with our wontons, we also served the Boneless Buffalo Chicken and Bone-in Hot Wings. My husband LOVES the hot wings with a side of buffalo ranch sauce. Those always seem to be a hit at parties especially when it’s full of friends for game days.
