Summertime with Our Dog & IAMS

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Iams. All opinions are 100% mine.
As we head into the summer season, that means we also have to get our dog prepared for the change in temperature and also be sure her overall health is doing well. I’m sharing how we keep her digestive track in check with Iams Visible Differences.
In Oklahoma, the heat in the summertime can soar to well over 100 degrees, that means it’s so hot for us we can hardly stand to go outside. Now, what do you do when your pet stays outside?
It means for us, we are typically bringing her in and also keeping plenty of fresh water available at all times. Most summers, we always end up leaving a swimming pool full of water that we change out each day for our dog to cool off in too. Our dog is a water dog and loves to be in water, so she does enjoy her dips in the pool!
We also make sure she has quality dog food like IAMS. I want to be sure she’s well nourished, right along with being hydrated. Right now, she’s in the middle of shedding her winter coat, this is my least favorite time for her because there is hair all over the place and we are constantly brushing her out.
I’ve noticed with the IAMS dog food her coat is much more shiny and healthy this year in comparison to years past. She has a very thick coat and as it sheds we see bright and shiny hair underneath that looks so healthy and much of that is due to her diet. She also has no problem during her business if you know what I mean, which as much as we ‘hate’ to talk about that subject…it’s a very important thing! Her digestive system is better than it has ever been.
She’s getting older now in dog years but she’s still able to maintain a great energy level. She is still very much a big dog but she also can keep up with our kids too. My son has always been very close to her and my daughter is now getting to where she loves to go up and pet her too or run around and play with her. She’s the type of dog you could just lay with and she would love to lay with you.
So as we get ready for the summer months, it means staying on top of her food and water by giving her a very high quality dog food like Iams quality dog food .
What pet tips do you have? I’d love to hear them!
