Kitchen Gadget: Food Steamer

Another Kitchen Gadget that I love are Steamers. I was blessed to get a 3 Tier Steamer when I got married; however, it bit the dust last year and I have yet to purchase another one. It’s on my list, but mine got the most use when my son was eating baby food.

To make the baby food, I would steam all the veggies, I could do 3 tiers at a time which worked out perfectly. I would steam them all for a an hour or so and then I would use my magic bullet and puree the baby food. I was very particular with my son’s baby food and refused to pay the price of store bought baby food, so I made all of it.

It worked out well and I just loved seeing all those ice cube trays full of homemade baby food. It’s definetly the way to go in my opinion and this steamer is a great way to help with that!

For those that just want steamed veggies, it’s awesome for that too.
