Gigglin’ Garden Gang #GoGreenNGiggle #Cbias

Over the summer months, I shared with all of you my gardening story as well as what we planted and the crops that grew over the summer. Along with gardening, we are trying to also show our son how to garden and be more green in the daily tasks in life.

This past week, I was ask to review the product, The Gigglin’ Garden Gang. This product is a book and CD along with a little garden to show your children how to be green as well as teaching them about growth. This story is written through the eyes of Suzi the Sunflower. This is not only a great activity for kids, but also the perfect science activity for homeschooling children.

I started out by planting the seeds for the sunflowers, of course being that it’s cold and winter we will see how well they grow. My favorite part of this activity was the book. It is such a cute book with amazing illustrations. I’m a book worm, so I guess it would make sense that I was drawn to the book.

My son loved it too, especially the sticker that comes with it! The information in the entire kit is perfect for a science homeschooling activity for young kids. I am not a natural teacher, so products like this that allow for a fairly self explanatory lesson are just what I need!

The point of the book is to show kids about making things grow as well as going green and ways to do so. We are currently working on going green in our family. We have had quite the time adapting, seeing as the city we were living in made it a little easier than this city. We are trying to get a system down that will help us remember to recycle and instill those values in our son.

What are your tips? How do you teach your children about going green?
